World Restaurant and Bar has both a vibrant energy and relaxing lounge atmosphere that attracts a diverse crowd of locals and international guests. Its varying spaces are joined together by its modern and charming design flourishes such as ornate iron gates, and unique lighting fixtures from elegant chandeliers to ruby-tinged sconces. The mahogany shelving unit which wraps around the dining room, showcasing a selection of international books, wine bottles and other nick-knacks is also worked cleverly into the setting. There is a melange of tall-topped tables with bench-styled seating and stools for a casual drink with friends or simple wooden tables with bentwood chairs for diners to enjoy a hearty meal. The glass-panelled front wall overlooks the outdoor terrace, which leads onto the Southbank promenade.

World Restaurant and Bar has a variety of spaces to suit corporate functions, cocktail receptions and personal celebrations. The venue has a total seated capacity of 300, and can hold up to 400 standing guests.

The extensive food and drinks menu is a worldly affair with contemporary Australian cuisine, European culinary delights and Asian flavours all gracing the menu. For a breakfast feast dine on the likes of baked eggs with marinated feta and roasted tomatoes or French crumpets with Canadian maple syrup. For a hearty main meal as twilight sets in, select from southern king prawns in a tangy Singapore marinade or a tea-smoked duck breast on shitake mushroom, snow pea shoot and coriander salad with thai chilli jam. There is a selection of set lunch and dinner packages for functions as well as a canapé menu that features a diverse affair of peppered seared tuna on cucumber with pickled ginger and wasabi to the likes of taleggio, pear and prosciutto pizzetti The beer menu boasts 45 different beers from around the world, whilst the cheeky cocktail menu features a classic espresso martini and a sweet tini, which are sure to pack a punch.
