DETAILS
The striking exterior of Melbourne’s World Trade Centre now houses a brand new and equally impressive contemporary pub-style spot, set to become the watering hole of choice over the coming summer months for the nearby after-work crowd. The Wharf Hotel’s modern indoor space sprawls out onto the adjacent riverside promenade, anchored with white canvas umbrellas perfectly situated for a good dose of people-watching. Floor-to-ceiling glass windows offer sensational views from the Side Bar to the Yarra River, while an intimate, secluded atmosphere can be found in the Back Room. Throughout, both friends and colleagues will be invigorated by the ever animated goings on of the harbour in a fresh, stylish setting.

FUNCTION DETAILS
Be it day or night, take advantage of the Hotel’s waters edge location and dramatic glass finishes during your next function. The balcony promenade provides shade from the daytime sun, while the building’s dramatic glass windows allow guests a permanent view to the harbour. Intimate groups of 10 for private dining all the way through to a 200 person stand up cocktail party can be accommodated at the Hotel.

SIDE BAR-
Stunning sunsets are a memorable beginning or end to a function by the water in this picturesque space, which caters for cocktail style groups of up to 120 guests, or can be increased to 200 guests with use of the promenade area. With full service from the main bar and private access to the main balcony, the spacious area is ideal for a range of function styles.

BACK ROOM- Guests at events for up to 20 guests will revel in the privacy of the Back Room, which can be set up for evening dinners or corporate meetings and seminars during the day. Audio visual equipment is available for hire upon request.

FOOD & BEVERAGE
It’s all about top notch Victorian produce and elegantly simple pub food among the Hotel’s breakfast, lunch and dinner menus and small bites available at the bar. Entrees like fragrant chicken wings with blue cheese sauce are followed by mains including Moroccan chicken salad with rocket, toasted hazelnuts, bocconcini and citrus vinaigrette and fresh fettucine with prawns, scallops, tomato and fresh herbs. Function menus follow the mod oz theme with cocktail and sit-down options available. A selection of canapés begins at $17 per person, including seared veal en croute with tuna mayo and fried capers and pea, parmesan and herb arrancini with truffle oil. Seated menus start from $45 per person and include options such as salt and pepper calamari with bean shoot salad and cucumber relish amongst entrees, while mains take the form of seared salmon fillet with kipfler potatoes, pancetta and lemon oil and potato gnocchi with spinach, tomato, herbs and parmesan.
Wine lists take a cue from dining menus’ local focus with beverages hailing from Australia’s 12 most well-known wine producers and New Zealand vineyards. International counterparts don’t go astray with a selection of foreign spirits and tap and bottled beers.
