FOOD & BEVERAGE
The menu offers modern Australian cuisine influenced by Japanese flavours. Created by Executive Chef Tony Twitchett, menus are designed to reflect the high quality, seasonal produce and pristine seafood available in Melbourne. Dishes offer a fusion of classic preparation techniques and contemporary flavours, such as in the entrée of the Taxi sticky pork with seared sea scallops and red chilli dressing. A separate entree menu offers authentic sushi dishes and the option for diners to create their own sushi combinations. For main, Asian flavours are showcased in the deluxe Stockyards wagyu porterhouse, boasting a marble score of 7+ and served with horseradish cream, while traditional European tastes are updated in the Crispy skinned salmon with fennel salad and raspberry & madeira vinaigrette. For dessert, Taxi’s signature white chocolate mousse with salted peanut caramel or Campari soaked citrus fruits with guava ice-cream is an ever-so-light finale. The mind-boggling 900-label wine list complements the food menu in every way, shape or form you could imagine, with a selection of local and international drops, as well as a hefty list of sake and other wine alternatives.
