Refurbished in 2002, the Saltram Wine Estate now successfully combines uniquely elegant event spaces with a warm, country atmosphere. The heart of the Estate is Mamre Brook House, built by the property’s original owner in the 19th Century. This lovely house is surrounded by well-tended gardens and Saltram’s historic vineyards. Salter’s Kitchen has become a regional favourite, serving fresh bread, home-made pizzas and sensational modern Australian cuisine to relaxed diners on the shady deck. Saltram’s Tasting Bar also continues to delight and gratify visitors. Sip on a glass of full-bodied Shiraz and soak up the rustic simplicity of the wood-lined bar while you talk grapes, vintages and varietals with one of Saltram’s friendly wine servers.



FUNCTION DETAILS
Saltram Wine Estate offers several function options appropriate for weddings, birthdays, business meetings and celebrations. Dolan’s Den is an intimate setting catering for up to 40 for dinner, 60 for cocktails and 80 theatre style. The room has a cosy, historic feel complemented by subtle contemporary light fixtures. Choose from a range of set menus or dine a la carte picking from a range of creatively re-imagined modern Australian classics. The Grey Floor is suitable for larger functions and has its own private bar. The room can hold 110 for a sit-down dinner, 180 for cocktails and 180 for a theatre-style event. With its barrel-lined walls, sweeping ceiling beams and corrugated roof, this space is ideal for anyone wanting a function room that has a rural, historic character without being ostentatious. Saltram has a friendly events team with the expertise to help plan tailor made functions of all sizes and for all occasions.

FOOD AND BEVERAGE
The menu at Salter’s Kitchen is modern Australian cuisine at its most thoughtful and scrumptious. The signature potato and rosemary flatbread ($8) comes straight from the wood oven, and is a nice way to start your food journey. All entrees and mains are accompanied by discerning wine pairings. Choices range from soup, salmon and scallops for entrée to more adventurous mains such as the Doube of ox cheek on a celeriac and liquorice puree with crispy beetroot wedges for that undeniably Aussie touch ($25.50). Wood oven pizzas are great for a light lunch, Needless to say, the wines speak for themselves and if they don’t, any one of the generous, knowledgeable staff will be happy to advise you. Salter’s is open for lunch only, however functions can be organised day or night.
