The Gallery offers the exceptional opportunity to combine dinners, breakfasts or cocktail functions with viewings of the Gallery's Collection or Exhibitions - an impressive atmosphere for entertaining. The combined talents of Executive Chef Peter Morgan-Jones and the Event Operations team service the in-house requirements of the Art Gallery, in addition to providing an array of commercial events for benefactors, exhibition sponsors and corporate clientele.
FUNCTION DETAILS
AGNSW has a range of function spaces for special occasions and corporate events.
Grand Court- the largest of the gallery’s function spaces. This area can accommodate from 360 guests seated to 1000 standing.
Modern Australian Gallery- for up to 350 guests seated, this area offers the ideal space to enjoy the gallery’s unique architectural features during an event.
Domain Theatre – this theatre is the ideal location to host audiences for conferences and speeches of up to 320 guests.
Centenary Auditorium- for smaller conferences, this space can host up to 92 guests seated.
Restaurant- located at the eastern end of the Grand Court, with its contemporary design and modern Australian cuisine is the ideal city lunch destination. The restaurant itself can host 80 guests seated or 130 standing, and when combined with the surrounding function space can host 140 seated and 180 standing.
FOOD & BEVERAGE
The team of chefs at AGNSW executes menus spanning breakfast, morning and afternoon tea, canapés, lunch, dinner and all-day catering for corporate events. Menus can also be tailored to suit individual clients’ needs.
