The restaurant is modern and sleek with an open-layout consisting of timber floors, wooden tables with metal trimmings, and a melange of black and white chairs to match. A chandelier hangs elegantly from the ceiling adding a touch of opulence to the space. There is a chic bar area with black and white leather ottomans replacing traditional bar stools, and a large outdoor dining quarter set amongst an array of tall, majestic trees.

FUNCTION DETAILS
Char is the perfect choice for a private or corporate event with a possibility to build your own menu. Banquet menus can be designed for a minimum of 20 people whilst set menus are available for 25 guests or less for the private dining room. The canapés menu is available for cocktail-styled functions held in the upstairs lounge and bar area.

FOOD & BEVERAGE
Restaurateur John Kilroy is a nationally recognised beef judge so the modern Australian menu at Char has a strong meaty presence. He is constantly showcasing beef to the hospitality industry where discussions range from the breed of cattle, feed type and age of the carcass. John sources the beef direct from producers and suppliers and ages it for five weeks, giving diners a chance to taste different breeds, brands and regions. He is also renowned for his foray into seafood, in particular jellyfish, and as such the menu is brimming with fruits of the sea. For entrée dine on the likes of wagyu beef rissoles with sofrito, char grilled ciabatta, and shaved manchego or Coffin Bay oysters with fleur de sel, seaweed and cider vinaigrette. Then for main course be sure to try a carnivorous dish from the steak menu such as o char-grilled eye fillet with truffled white polenta, blistered vine ripened cherry tomatoes and a rosemary jus.
