LOCATION
On the main street of Bangalow, close to the main cafes, restaurants and boutique shops. Approximately a 10 minute drive from Byron Bay, 20 minutes from Ballina/Byron Airport and only 45 minutes from the Gold Coast Airport.
DETAILS
This historic home is a renovated heritage-style property with four ensuited bedrooms, which can be booked individually or the whole house can be hired exclusively. All of the rooms have been furnished with Coco Republic furniture and artwork by internationally acclaimed artist Ken Johnson. The timber floors are covered by beautifully patterned throw rugs, whilst impressive windows let in an abundance of natural light. Modern furnishings from dark mahogany dining tables encircled by black leather chairs to easel lamp shades, and earthy hued sofas with black trimmings add a touch of elegance to the tranquil surrounds. Wide shaded verandas surround the home on three sides and provide breezy spots to sit and overlook the landscaped gardens and Byron Creek below.
FUNCTION DETAILS
The house itself has just had internal and external renovations and is looking fresh and fabulous. It sleeps up to 10 guests with 1 x king ensuited rooms, 3 x queen ensuited rooms and a 5th children’s room with 2 single beds.
WEDDINGS
The Bangalow Guesthouse is also a fitting venue to host a wedding or engagement. The gardens provide a beautiful space with a big lawn area in-front of the house looking over the water. For a stand-up cocktail style event for under 80 guests there is plenty of room in the house and no marquee would need to be hired. The views from the veranda down into the gardens are perfect for a ceremony in the event of rainy weather. There are bathrooms and a permanent bar area outside and the caterers are more than welcome to use the kitchen in the house so there is no need to hire a caterer’s tent. If a marquee was to be hired, then there is enough space on the lawn area for up to 80 guest’s sit-down style. The new car park area has the capacity to seat up to 120 guests in a 9m x 14m marquee – this would be a tight squeeze but it is possible. The venue hire fee is $3500 with a 3 night minimum stay at $950 per night.
