Colourful murals, the sounds of Greek music and authentic dishes using the freshest local ingredients combine to transport you to a Greek Island. Aesop's proprietor, James Gamvros will fill your tummy and then have everyone on their feet grooving to Zorba and music from the 70's through to the latest music. FOOD & WINE
While not strictly Greek or authentic, the menu is an eclectic Mediterranean mix of easy-to-share dishes. The dip platter featuring taramasalata, tsatziki, hummus and warm crusty bread is a sure bet, and the flaky spinach and ricotta triangles are served hot and salty like they should be. Vegetarians are spoilt with satisfying options including layered vegetarian moussaka or pan-fried haloumi cheese, while the banquet menu for groups consists of an all you can eat selection of three mezedakia (Greek tapas) and four mains. The wine list is broad, and the effervescent service adds to the experience and encourages Aesops family-friendly reputation.
