Room81 named National 'Tourism Restaurant' Winner
Sofitel Gold Coast's signature dining concept Room81 has just been announced as the national 'Tourism Restaurant' winner at the Savour Australia Restaurant & Catering Awards for Excellence.
The European inspired restaurant, located lobby level of the luxurious Sofitel Gold Coast Broadbeach, was awarded four wins and two honourable mentions at the state finals held at Jupiters Casino in September. Room81 then progressed to the state finals in the category of Tourism Restaurant; competing against the likes of Sydney Tower, Jacobs Creek Restaurant and Ritual Restaurant at Nelson Bay.
"We are thrilled to have been awarded the national Tourism Restaurant winner", says Sofitel Gold Coast's General Manager, Marcus Hanna.
"This year we have welcomed several key additions to our Food & Beverage team. We had Executive Chef Bill Magno join us from Pullman Sydney Olympic Park, Chef de Cuisine Michael Crosbie take the reins at Room81 and Reto Leutenegger appointed as Executive Assistant Manager I/C Food & Beverage.
The team has worked tirelessly to perfect our restaurant offering, so it is an honour to receive this outstanding recognition", adds Hanna.
Room81 is currently preparing for a sold out Melbourne Cup event next week and looks forward to it's signature New Year's Eve celebration titled 'A French Cabaret Affair' in December.
Located in the heart of vibrant Broadbeach, Room81 offers Parisian sidewalk style seating as well as lavish lounge booths. Open 10am until late from Tuesday to Saturday - experience a little savoir-faire for yourself.
